Lake District Northern Foothills
Hallin Fell - 15 October 2004

Good progress on our journey from London to Ayrshire allowed a short stop in the
Lake District, and a walk up Hallin Fell from the hause.

High Rigg - 17 October 2004

Looking south from the summit of High Rigg (357m/1171ft), a knobbly little mass
of land at the foot of Thirlmere, sandwiched between St John's in the Vale and
Naddle Beck

Although surrounded by high fells, it is not connected to any. Looking past
Keswick to the north-western fells and Bassenthwaite Lake
