Raw Head, Cheshire
3 January 2005

A panoramic photograph from the summit ridge of Raw Head in Cheshire. The hill
is only 227m/745ft above sea level, but because it is on the edge of the last
escarpment before the Cheshire plain, it has very extensive views

Caves at the summit

From Raw Head to the Mersey, Birkenhead and Liverpool, some 40km away

From Raw Head to Chester and the prominent new bridge at Queensferry, 23km to
the north-west, with the Clywydian Range declining to the sea at the Point of
Ayr beyond the bridge, almost 50km away
