Shropshire Hills

concluded with lunch at the Long Mynd Hotel, Stephen took advantage of a
bit of daylight left to visit the summits of two nearby
English Marilyns.
Stiperstones

Ascending Stiperstones by the Shropshire Way on a gloomy afternoon

Snow on the Welsh mountains

A curious look from George

Continuing to ascend the summit ridge of Stiperstones

The summit of Stiperstones, with the trig column perched on top of an
awkward crag

After a scramble to the top, a view past the trig point to the south

Looking south along the ridge from the top

Looking east to the Long Mynd

On the way down, a look back up to the trig column

George on easy ground again

Descending a different way, to the car park where Lucy and Ellie are
waiting for us

Two more Cavaliers on Long Mynd

The three of us at the summit trig point

Sunshine in the valley, but sadly not reaching us

The dogs wait impatiently to be underway again
