Askam Pier

We parked at the car park at the end of the road out of Askham in Furness, and walked along the coast towards the pier, seen running across the photo here.

Now on the pier, which is built of slag from the nearby iron ore mines

This Herbie is a travel bug which we deposited in a geocache on the pier, before descending to the sands to walk back to the car.

Fun on the sand...
