Hi, love your web-site. I've just caught the walking bug myself and recently completed the New River walk and enjoyed comparing weather etc with your trip.

It was a bit surprising that there was sunshine and no snow in Littleport and it was still snowing until late morning in Tooting Bec - they're not that far apart! It was pretty cold in Littleport, though. |

I came across your website while researching Patterdale and Place Fell and have had a lovely time browsing. I am disabled and although I can walk I can't get very far. I particularly want to go up mountains and your pictures are the next bext thing to actually being there, Thank you!

Hi Stephen
I just complete the leg from Rainham to Purfleet and I found to my surprise, the route is now open from Coldharbour light along the riverbank as far as Purfleet. It is currently closed by the Tilda Rice factory though.

A shame if it is closed by the Tilda Rice factory - that bit along the Thames, while industrial, was interesting and probably more so than the bleaker inland route. I gather the final route further north through Rainham will be officially opened soon so once that happens I may return to re-do that section. |

hello, i was doing some research on the history of england and English mountain ranges when i came across your pictures. i noticed that we had a similar last name. No relation i am sure. just thought it was funny and thought i would say hello. very nice pictures btw. i have never been to england and would like to visit some day. have a good day.
